THE HISTORY

Thunderstruck – Racing Runabout #363 was originally delivered to Boulder City, Nevada on December 26, 1951.

THE RESTORATION

Thunderstruck – Restored by Robinson Restoration in Fallbrook, California 2016-2017. After restoring several Racing Runabouts to high-point Concours condition, we took a different path with this one because “eh, what the hell.” Although not technically correct with the decked over aft cockpit and most of the hardware left off, the theme on this one was “We can put it back to a first place, Concours boat in a week… or two.” Nothing was done that cannot easily be put back stock. The original numbers matching MBL is show ready, nothing was modified structurally etc. I wanted a clean, no-nonsense racer and am pleased with how it turned out.
