THE 2020 LAKE TAHOE CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE IS CANCELED AND WILL RETURN IN 2021

May 1, 2020

A message from the Tahoe Yacht Club Foundation:
As much as we were looking forward to the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance this year, the health and safety of our boat owners, show attendees, volunteers, staff, and community are our utmost priority. We have been monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic and working closely with local authorities and have determined that we cannot move forward with the show knowing there is a chance it could put anyone’s health at risk. We have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel in 2020. The show will return to the historic Obexer’s Boat Company August 13th & 14th, 2021.

We will be using this time as an opportunity to enhance the 2021 show and implement new ideas that we believe will elevate what is already North America’s premier wooden boat show. We are currently creating new elements for the Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance and look forward to sharing them with you soon. Our goal is to give you a truly unforgettable wooden boat experience set in the unsurpassed beauty of Lake Tahoe’s scenic West Shore.

Many boat owners and wooden boat lovers were excited for our 2020 Marque Class. We were excited too. That’s why we have chosen to keep Boats of the 1960s as our Marque Class in 2021.

Boat registration is open and show tickets are on sale now for the 2021 Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance. We are asking for your support and hope you consider registering your boat, getting your tickets, or becoming a personal sponsor now for what we believe will be one of our finest showcases of wooden boats yet.

The cancellation of the 2020 show is a major setback for our foundation’s mission as well as for all of the non-profits that benefit from it. The Lake Tahoe Concours d’Elegance is our largest fundraiser, with proceeds going directly back into the Lake Tahoe community. We will not, however, let this hinder our ability to share our passion for wooden boats. We are currently working on designing unique events for this year that will allow you to safely participate at home while helping us continue to aid organizations in our community that help maritime traditions thrive. We will have details for you soon.

You can purchase show tickets now HERE. Stay safe everyone. We are counting down the days until we can hit the water with you again.
